Cindi and Jay Montgomery would like to thank all that came to the wedding. It really meant a lot to them, that you worked around your busy schedule to celebrate with Jay, Cindi and all the friends and family.

HOW THEY MET
Jay and Cindi met through the unconventional ways of a telephone dating service. The local "new rock" radio station here in Atlanta, 99X, hosts a dateline service that is at first kinda scary to most people. It goes to show you that there are not all freaks and losers on a dateline. Cindi sought out Jay after first listening to his profile that the date line computer sent to her. Jay listened to both of her voice mails and her profile that was sent to him by the dateline service. Jay thought she was someone that he would find interesting. After talking on the phone with each other for about 3 weeks they decided to meet in a neutral public place. Their first blind date was at Cafe Tu Tu Tango in Buckhead, where they were immediately attracted to each other. After that it just got better and better, even to this day.

HOW JAY PROPOSED
Jay being a creatively different type could not propose the "normal" way. He had decided that since they met through the 99X dateline service that he could get 99X involved in this. Cindi, Jay and their friends occasionally go to a nice restaurant and bar in Buckhead called The Atlanta Beer Garten for Resurrection Sunday. This 80's retro show is broadcast live from the Beer Garten. Unknowing to Cindi, Jay planned a surprise proposal with the DJ of the show, Axel. Jay casually suggested to Cindi that they haven't been to Resurrection Sunday in awhile and that they should go. On the way there they were listening to 99X when Axel mentioned that something huge was going to happen at 2:20. They got there around 1:30 and had lunch. Jay sneaked around the corner to give the ring to Axel. By 2:00 Cindi was getting anxious to leave but wanted to stay and see what huge thing would happen at 2:20. When the time finally arrived, Axel began talking about good looking couples coming down to Resurrection Sunday. He picked Jay and Cindi from the audience to come up and get a t-shirt that had a little something from 99X inside. He handed the t-shirt to Jay which was folded several times. After much ado Jay produced a ring in a box. He got on his knee in front of everybody, and live on the radio nervously said what he had been reciting in his head all day: CINDI GARDINIER, YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, I WANT TO GROW OLD WITH YOU, WILL YOU MARRY ME? Cindi immediately said with tears in her eyes: OF COURSE. Then 99X played the Wedding March song, followed by White Wedding by Billy Idol, Ball and Chain by Social Distortion, and Don't Change by INXS. Jay had already told almost everyone to listen in. Some of their friends surprisingly showed up right after the proposal.

ABOUT THE COUPLE
Jay and Cindi bring out the best in each other, with a fun, relaxed, humorous, yet mature look on life. It's incredible how much they have in common. It would be a shorter list to describe what they don't have in common. They are very communicative with each other on every level yet have only had one or two arguments the year and a half they have been together. Although they are very realistic that there will be tough times, they are prepared and committed to get though them in an adult, loving, respectful manner.

CANDLE LIT CEREMONY
They have planned the wedding of their dreams at the Gwinnett Fine Arts Center. A brief, candlelit ceremony will be held in the sculpture garden outside at sundown ( 8:30-9 PM) Jay's father, who is an ordained minister, will be performing the ceremony. Floating candles will light up the pond and white Christmas lights will be through out the garden in the trees and on the metal gazebo under which they will say their vows. The Photographer will be Greg Mooney of Atlanta Photographers which is a member of one of Jay's organizations that FreeLance Forum.

ADULT DESSERT RECEPTION
The reception will be held indoors, in the Gwinnett Fine Arts Center gallery, immediately following the ceremony ( 9-11:30 PM). Dessert reception means light snacks but not enough for a meal. Ted Warrilow of Digital Audio Disc Jockey Services, Inc. will be the DJ and coordinator of events. The Caterer is a bakery in Duluth, Cloudt’s Bakery, and will be served by two waitresses from Ray's on the River Restaurant in Atlanta. There will be some traditional events like the cake cutting and Bride and Groom's first dance, but there will be no chicken dance, electric slide, or line dance. The music will be a wide variety, ranging from classical, swing, 70's, 80's, 90's, new rock, rap, jazz, and no country. Jay has prepared four CD's of their favorite music that Ted will play throughout out the reception. Jay and Cindi plan on having some sort of grand exit that will be a surprise, so stick around if you can.
